init Lab Association is a registered HAM radio club with a call sign of LZ1KIL, since some of our members are licensed HAM radio operators. We’re currently in the process of acquiring and installing a HAM radio and a suitable antenna.

We’ve chosen Yaesu FT857 for the radio. With our location in the center of Sofia in mind, we’ll be mostly limited to VHF/UHF, but we’re open to HF experiments with the right antenna, weather conditions and other factors.

Everyone interested in using our radio can do so, given that the following conditions are met:

• supervision by at least one class 1 HAM radio operator
• compliance with CRC’s normative and ethical requirements for HAM radio operation
• taking good care of our equipment
